Snapshots of God on the Move: The Czech Republic & Sweden

In recent weeks, we’ve had some encouraging reports come in from our people in the European harvest. Here’s a quick summary of what we’ve heard from two of these field workers.
In the Czech Republic, near the border of Poland, a GEM worker has been passing along the principles of disciple multiplication to Czech church leaders in his sphere of influence. One group has seen Discovery Bible Studies started with a number of Czech people coming to faith and starting other groups into the third generation, often through family networks. The fruit of another leader's efforts to train groups to reproduce disciples got the attention of denominational leaders in Prague. To her surprise, they asked her to put together a plan to train people in every church in their denomination across the Czech Republic with principles of disciple multiplication.
In Stockholm, Sweden, seventeen small groups have been started in ten communities along a subway line. It all started with one GEM worker riding the subway and getting off at each community to prayer walk while keeping his eyes and ears open for God to lead him to “people of peace.” (Luke 10:5) More Christ-followers caught the vision and they began to set up tables at a number of subway stations, which allowed them to bless commuters with free coffee and engage them in conversation. As people have come to know Jesus (mostly immigrants from numerous countries in Asia and Africa) discipleship groups have been launched to teach them the Way of Jesus and equip them to reproduce the life of Jesus in others.

Please pray for these efforts in the Czech Republic and in Sweden! Pray also that God would lead Christians across Europe to announce and demonstrate the Kingdom of God in ways that lead to new believers reproducing their faith into others who can pass on that reproduction DNA to others.
