The 2012 Olympic Games are right around the corner (the smartphone app says 2 days, 4 hours!) In the days ahead, Greater Europe Mission will be hosting more than 350 visitors from as many as 7 different countries who are traveling to London for the sole purpose of coming alongside local churches in London to announce and demonstrate the Kingdom of God amongst the millions of visitors arriving from around the world (some 6-11 million people!)

London is high on our list of 50 influential European cities that we are targeting with a 5 year goal to ignite church multiplication movements in. God is at work in London and across the UK and it is a privilege to partner with a growing number of churches on the ground that share the same vision in such a globally influential city.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be posting news updates, stories, videos, prayers requests, pictures and whatever else we can get our hands on with regard to GEM London’s efforts on the ground during the Olympic Games. Keep an eye on our Facebook Page, Twitter feed, as well as the GEMStory12 website where the London team will posting updates.

Our president, Henry Deneen, just arrived in London this morning with his family and will be taking part in the first week of the 2012 Olympic initiative. You can follow his Twitter feed HERE. After his time in London, Henry will be heading to Athens - another 50 in 5 city that by God's power is already seeing fruit from the efforts of our team there.

Please pray for the safety of our teams and for God's Kingdom to come in Europe through these initiatives!
