Europe is Ripe for the Gospel

"I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together." (John 4:35b-36) Even now as I think back to the six-day whirlwind trip through Madrid, Spain, Paris and Lille, France and Brussels, Belgium, I stand amazed at how God worked, not only in answering prayers, but in allowing me to participate with Him in leading eight people to Christ! God also opened my eyes to see that there are many other Europeans out there, like these eight, who are seeking and open to the gospel. My name is Dave, and I along with three others – Pete, Ken and Nora – were challenged to go to four major European cities to pray for them and see how God is working there.

Urgent Request for Intercessors

  We are looking for intercessors for a current list of 7 cities in Europe. Those cities are Madrid, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Prague and Athens. Specifically, we are looking for people who are willing to pray that a gifted strategist for discipleship multiplication movements among European nationals, would be called to those cities (and others) and who would build a team for reaching the populations of those cities. We’d like prayer for the discovery of such persons and for the CityReach Team in Greater Europe Mission, as we seek to discover those called.  Please pray that the Holy Spirit would lead us to those He is calling to these cities.

Planting "Seeds" Among Bulgarian Farmers

This post is a follow up story and report we first shared with you in a previous post. You can find the first post here. More than 70 farmers attended two agricultural seminars in rural Bulgaria last month to learn first-hand how to obtain European Union subsidies as well as practical farming techniques, including preparing good soil, making liquid fertilizer and composting. Hosting these seminars allowed the team in Bulgaria to survey farmers in both regions to better understand their challenges and interests.

Simple Obedience Changes Lives in Bulgaria

I had an incredible opportunity to witness how God is using a Bulgarian couple to share the gospel and win many Bulgarians to Christ because of their obedience to God's Word. I am a video producer with GemStone Media in Germany, and I was asked, along with a colleague, to fly to Bulgaria to interview Harry and his wife, Pinkeh, and tell the story of what God is doing through them.
