Prayer Request

Tuesday, May 13, 2008
Pray that God will keep GEM’s missionary appointees safe, healthy, and encouraged as they gather their support teams in preparation for service in Europe. Pray for missionaries on the field who need to raise additional support because of the dropping value of the dollar against the euro and other European currencies. Ask God to provide the necessary financial resources so that their ministries can continue uninterrupted.

Pray that God will provide at least 15 new students for the Spanish Bible Institute and Theological Seminary’s 2008-09 school year. Pray that as the Portuguese Bible Institute holds its annual Dia Aberto (Open Day) tomorrow, many visitors will attend classes and join in prayer for God’s blessing on the preparation of church leaders. Ask God to call many to formal biblical preparation for leadership in Portugal and beyond.

Pray that the unreached youth of Croatia will be drawn to Christ as they encounter Him in the lives of missionaries and Croatian believers. Pray that God will continue to use the youth café that missionaries host every Friday, where they discuss relevant issues and present Christ as the solution to those issues.

Pray that Italian Catholics who are seeking a relationship with Christ will focus on Jesus’ sacrifice and love rather than on the differences between Catholic and Protestant teachings. Pray that more Catholics will come to know Jesus intimately.

Prayer: Communion with the Creator

Prayer is often one of the most overlooked and under-utilized elements of the spiritual life, yet little is more powerful and effective than tapping into the Father’s heart.  Greater Europe Mission has set a goal of increasing prayer support worldwide for the advancement of the Kingdom of God in Europe.  On this website you will find materials to assist you in joining us and Christians worldwide in praying for the nations.

Passport to Prayer - Consider coming on a 9-day prayer journey to a key city in Europe.  Walk the streets, see the people, and talk to Jesus about His heart for the thousands of lost souls in Europe.  An experience like this will change your view of Europe, and maybe your life forever!

Fresh Encounters - Greater Europe Mission is preparing a series of daily devotionals designed to strengthen your relationship with God and deepen your understanding of the spiritual needs in Europe.  These devotionals are ideal for personal study and small groups wanting to experience God’s heart for missions worldwide.

Strategic Prayer Map - Europe is a land of great spiritual need, and God is doing great things here!  Use this map to pray for the countries, cities, and people groups of Europe.  Use the map to pray for key movements of the Gospel as they are happening and intercede with God to remove barriers to the Gospel.  The interactive map will record your prayers as you join believers worldwide to take the needs of Europe before the throne of God.

Monthly Prayer Guide
- The Prayer Communiqué is Greater Europe Mission’s monthly prayer guide.  Read it online, download it, or sign up to receive it via the mail.  Each month we focus on one strategic area for prayer and provide significant prayer requests for you to add to your daily time with the Lord.
