Do I need to raise support to serve with GEM?
Greater Europe Mission (GEM) is a faith based organization. Most of our missionaries build a team of partners who will pray for them and their ministries and undergird them financially. We also have other funding models within GEM for those who intend to start a business or work for an existing business overseas. These missionaries earn a salary from their overseas employment which may either wholly or partially replace their need to raise support.

What kinds of work do GEM missionaries do?
Missionaries focus on being disciples and making disciples of all peoples of Europe. The primary goal is to form rapidly reproducing churches. This takes place through a variety of ministries, including teaching English, training businesspeople, and serving at Christian camps.

Why “Greater” Europe Mission?
Bob Evans, who founded the Mission, chose the name Greater Europe Mission in 1952 because he had a vision to someday have missionaries serving in northern and eastern Europe, as well as North Africa. Today, Bob’s dream is a reality; GEM missionaries do serve on the edges of Europe.
