You can impact your German peers by the life you lead and by leading small conversational English groups. Here is an opportunity to experience German culture and share your enthusiasm for Christ with non-believing German youth. You will get to know the youth by staying at their homes for three days prior to the beginning of the English camp, with a full camp program. The North American team members will have small conversational English groups to help lead or participate in a full range of fun camp offerings. German youths will also be integrated with the North American teams. This English Camp has been a prayerfully-considered vision of a local Church plant to help sink its roots into the community, beginning with the youth.

Share Christ while using your English

If you speak English and have a passion for people, TEFL is a ministry for you. TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teachers use a Bible-based curriculum when possible and often have opportunities to share the Gospel with students. GEM provides the training; you share your English. Ministry assignments range from two weeks to a career. Learn more about our TEFL Resources here http://www.GEMTEFL.org.

  • GEM missionaries in the Czech Republic used The Chronicles of Narnia as the theme of an English camp. Discussing the movie helped students learn Englishand it showed them that Jesus willingly gave His life for them.

  • English class in France was the vehicle to developing relationships. Somehow, in the midst of pronunciation exercises and grammar, Annick became my friend. She knew that I loved her and prayed for her. The Lord is working in her life. Tara, missionary in France

  • Teaching English in Slovakia is a perfect way to partner with national church leaders. You can help kids learn English while helping draw nonbelievers to church. Doug Stoner, missionary in Slovakia
