Youth Worker / Discipler

We are looking for a person to come alongside staff members working with youth groups at Elim, a ministry center in Czech Republic. The person would assist the Elim staff in mentoring and relational evangelism in various programs. This could take many forms, depending on the skills and passsions of the candidate, but could involve leading Bible studies, doing sports ministries, and/or hosting. The goal is to develop mature disciples of Jesus Christ. Experience in relational evangelism and discipleship would be a plus for this position.  

A local church started Elim as their outreach into the local community. Part of the evangelistic strategy involves a number of youth programs, including hangout clubs, a rock choir, tutoring, and camps.

Train and support youth workers in Europe

Evangelical churches are few and far between in many regions of Europe. The existing churches are small and have few resources, especially for youth ministry.

North American missionaries can provide youth ministry resources for European churches. They build an effective and culturally relevant outreach to youth where there is none, aiming to equip national workers to carry it on.

  • There are no youth pastors in Slovakia, so youth groups and programs rely on the young people from the church. These leaders desperately need training, and we can help provide it! Michelle, GEM missionary in Slovakia

  • A team from my church went to Italy to help Amy, a GEM missionary, put on an English camp. The goal was to introduce youth to an evangelical church. We made some good connections, and Amy is following up. God is working! Adam, short-term missionary
