Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things
Do you believe that being a missionary in a foreign country is something reserved for especially gifted people? While the work is special and few things you could do are more fulfilling and challenging, it really just requires ordinary people willing to live in extraordinary ways.
The Church in Europe is declining for many reasons, but one of the most significant is the separation between clergy and laypeople that has developed over the centuries. This separation has led to the view that the Church is irrelevant to life. For that reason, GEM seeks people from all walks of life to live out the Gospel in Europe.
You may be an accountant or a firefighter, a business owner or a mechanic—whatever your job, there's a place for you in Europe. Have you thought about the impact your life can have in a place where, chances are, the people have never met a true Christ-follower? Check out the GEM opportunities and see if God is calling you to live out the Good News in Europe.
